Vintage Ginger Beer Bottles and Azaleas

Vintage Ginger Beer Bottles and Azaleas

Spring is here. The azaleas are in full bloom. I have white, pink and a coral color. I thought I would bring some in for the table.

I have had these vintage ginger beer bottles for some time. I found them in Vermont. I had never seen them before and the gentleman had several of them. I thought I had 4 but could only find 3.

A Little Bit of Springtime

A Little Bit of Springtime

Today I was cleaning up some branches after a harsh rain storm in the morning. The sun was out and it was lovely. I have two Bougainvillea bushes in pots. They belong to the four o' clock family. I love the plant but not a big fan since it has these killer thorns. I keep them in pots so they don't go crazy.  I thought I would bring in a couple of stems for the table.

Spring is in the air - Ducks are Nesting

Don't you just love spring - flowers are blooming, grass is growing and love is in the air. Here in southern Florida, we may not have spring flowers popping up in the ground and our grass is always green, but "love is in the air".

We have these two ducks that have decided to nest in our stag horn ferns. That's the Momma.

What are Candle Cozies?

What are Candle Cozies?

So glad you asked that question. They are cute little crocheted sleeves that fit around small glass candle holders.

Eclectic Red Barn: Candle Cozies :Could you use a little spring decor, cute favors, tealight holders? You can get a free crochet pattern to create your own

They come in multiple colors that you can use for springtime, Easter or just added to your home decor.

You could even use them as favors or decoration. You could fill them with candy, small flowers, little tealights, or even small cupcakes. Wouldn't they be cute on a tray?

You have two options to get your own cozies:
  1. A pattern to make your own cozies (click on the picture below) or
  2. I can make them for you.

You don't crochetNo problem, I can make them for you. I will provide a set of three different color cozies (the candle holders are NOT included) for $5. You may pick the colors you want.  Just email me or comment below and I will be in touch.

I have a complete tutorial on How to make the YoYos that I use on the front of the cozies here.

Sending a little Spring!

I just wanted to send a little spring to all of you who are still dealing with the cold and snow. Spring is coming, although it probably doesn't seem that way right now with the ground covered in white.

We were at our other house this weekend, and the azaleas were blooming and they were so beautiful. I thought I would share a few pictures with you.

Mallards in the Pool?

Spring time is in the air. The weather is getting warmer; flowers are poking their heads up out of the soil and trees are blooming. Here in Florida, we too experience these changes, although not as noticeable as up north. As the weather changes, the birds begin to make their way back up north. We had a wonderful experience of this today.

My daughter and her best friend came for Easter and are enjoying the weather. We were out on the deck and her friend said "you have ducks swimming in your pool". How cute! I said, "no we don't".
